A good friend can tell you what is the matter with you in a minute. He may not seem such a good friend after telling. -Arthur Brisbane

This saying desribes how I am personally. I would much rather upset someone by telling them the truth, than lying to make them feel good. Whether or not the person wants to accept the truth and move on, or hold a grudge is entirely up to that individual. This differentiates good true friends from the no so great friends. The more friends like this the better. If this person can be that honest with you then you know off the back you can trust them. Once a person fully matures mentally, trust is one of the most imperative aspects of a person’s life.

Fast Fifteen: Sacrifice

Filed under: Uncategorized @ 4:43 pm and

Whenever it comes down to a serious sacrifice, you have to take account for what really matters to you and what your seriously care about. For me it always comes back to family. The security of my family has and always will be the most important aspect of my life. No matter what path I take in life, my family will always be there for me and likewise, because without family you can never truly understand what love and support is. I would do anything and everything for my family because they have helped me get this far in life, and i know they will help in the future with no expectation of compensation. This is what family is all about, and also why i would sacrifice anything for them.http://tinyurl.com/famcolorpic

Fast Fifteen: To Improve something

Filed under: Uncategorized @ 3:28 pm and

Something that needs to improve is the hours of sleep i get during the week. I get an average of 5 hours of sleep a night, and pay for it each morning. To make this improve i can get my homework done earlier so im not up all night doing it. Also the addiction to the internet is another x factor that if i can kick, will give me more time to sleep.

The Unfound Loss

Filed under: Uncategorized @ 10:54 am and

A loss of any kind can really put things in perspective for someone who can’t cope with hardships. One of the most useful abilities in life is the ability to know how to handle a difficult situation and/or loss. You must be accepting first of all, that what’s done is done, and there’s no changing what already happened. Acceptance is always the first step. After the loss is accepted, the renewal period must take place. This is the time to look up, and try to better the situation by any means necessary. This shows right off the back that you are ready to begin moving forward with your life. Use whatever the scenario to refresh and start a whole new chapter of that part of your life.

That Perfect One

Filed under: Uncategorized @ 10:50 am and

Relationships tend to turn into a job more than a commitment. This is because sometimes the two individuals just aren’t right for each other. Each person is different and seeks different things when looking for someone to be with. Those who do make it are either looking for the same thing and found it, or grew tolerant of the little flaws the other has. The idea of a great, loving relationship doesn’t come easy. Traits that come to mind to ensure the relationship are being understanding, loyal, patient, caring, honest, and dedicated. That all seems like a lot but when its right, its right. In a relationship you always want to be there for the other person, even when they don’t ask you to be, it will be appreciated. One of the most imperative things are to be able to maintain a general happiness overall; do whatever you can to make her/him happy. You also have to be accepting that they are their own person, and don’t be judgmental so quickly. In short terms it all comes down to the lesson we all learned in kindergarten… Treat them they way you would want to be treated, and if the person is the right one then they will do the same. No one said relationships have to be hard work, and though there are the rough patches throughout, the ability to get through them with your partner is what makes it certain that the relationship is right.

Goal

Ever since I was a young child, I’ve aways wanted to become a doctor. I just thought it would be amazing to be able to help save someones life or help someone become healthier. A few years ago I decided that my dream job/goal was to become a surgeon. More specifically I strive to become a cardio-thoracic surgeon. This area specializes in the heart and thoracic cavity, as well as the lungs.

I was motivated to want this career by my young cousin who had heart surgery just a few years ago. We all knew that the surgery had to be done and were petrified  at the thought of it because she was only 3 years old. When she finally got out of surgery and her body was completely fine internally, I found it amazing that a team of people can do something like that short of a miracle. That was the day when I realized that one day I wanted to be apart of that ‘team’.

Any field in a medical career requires a decent amount of schooling, but for what I want to do, I’m expecting to be in school until my mid-late 20′s. There’s the four year college, followed by x amount of years needed in med school followed by surgeon school all amounting to roughly 10 years of school after i graduate high school. This was something i had to consider when choosing this career for many people would not want to spend that much time in school. Looking at the average salary makes it that much easier to deal with though.

The salary is one of the biggest material advances in choosing this career. Surgeons these days make around $280,000 a year, which can make anyones jaw drop.
